Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of dough and roll it into a ball. Place dough balls on the baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
